Owen is one of those whippets that didn’t find the right fit with his first home. Sometimes our best efforts do not result in the way we had planned. I have been fortunate in these kinds of situations…if you wait for the right home, it will come eventually. Owen became a single child for Dan & Julie Eberhart, a newly married couple. His every wish was their command but he reciprocated in kind. He was the best ambassador for the breed showing his best manners, skills such as playing catch/ frisbee and graceful beauty in public. When their daughter Jordan was brought home, Owen was very receptive and gentle with her. Owen died very unexpectedly when he was 7 years old. Although a necropsy was not performed, we strongly suspect heart failure. He was greatly loved and is missed. The Eberharts have the companionship of two other Whippets they got from me after Owens passing, Bonzai and Desert.
Thank you Dan and Julie for being such a special home.
