Em was first named Ember but later shortened to Em. She was beauty, graceful curves all in the right places, comical, intelligent and exuded a special brightness. She was so very unique to Sandi Rolfe who picked her out at 12 weeks and took her home, never looking back. Sandi and Em had such a special relationship, no words can really describe it so I won’t try. We both were so hopeful of her future show career and breeding prospect. But it was not meant to be. At the age of 2 years she had a high fever that was mysterious and hard to control. She recovered and soon after began to have epileptic seizures. They were small and far between at first but even with medication, the seizures eventually became uncontrollable. I will admit the Sandi did more to save her than most people would have done and gave her several more years of life. She died during a cluster of seizures that could not be stopped. Sandi was inconsolable by her loss and misses her beyond words.
