Chanel was my pick bitch in the litter. She was tall, dark and beautiful. She stood out in so many ways but not in the movement department…just sort of average. You can’t win in Afghans with just average, so I stopped showing her. She has lived with me her whole life and with her passing came the end of the Afghans at Kaliphna. I never bred her. She was a joy to live with, never intruding or pushy. Even as a senior, she retained her dignity, humor and gentle ways. I hope I can say the same for myself when I reach her equivalent age! Wait, I’m not even like that now  : )
