Carly was from our first Afghan litter of Giggles x Aja. She was the first in a lot of ways. She was the first (and last) dog shown by Phil, he put her first points on her. She was our first homebred, breeder/owner handled champion, our first breed winner and our first group placer. She made us think that this was really going to be easy as she had such outstanding quality and we really didn’t realize it at the time. This was at a time when there were huge entries at the shows and it would take a lot of dogs to get a major.  She blew through the classes with us on her tail feathers, along for a great ride. She was retired from showing but never produced a litter for us. She died quite young at 3 years.
She was named after Carly Simon’s song “You’re So Vain”
