Braden stood out in this litter as the special one. He had the handsome good looks, body build and movement of a truly special dog. What he lacked was the mental strength it took to achieve that level. He was a sweet and gentle dog but really didn’t care for the show ring. He won Best Puppy under Stephen Wheeler at N. Cal. Afghan Hound Club. Stephen was so taken by him, he purchased him, along with Harold Greenwood and Molly Rule-Steele. The plan was to show him some, determine if he could mentally survive the quarantine time which was long and costly at the time. As time passed, we were all convinced that quarantine time would be too detrimental for him. I continued to show him and he finished quite easily. His beautifully wicked picture portrays what I saw in him every day in my backyard… a stallion of a dog, so full of himself.
